Halloween window decorations are a terrific way to add some Halloween spirit to your home. If you have windows toward the front of your home, Halloween window decor can add subtle but spooky touches that will delight your trick-or-treaters.

If you want to create a Halloween window display this year, try some of these ideas for window decorations for Halloween:
Halloween window clings: A window cling is similar to a sticker for your window. These window decorations for Halloween are great because they require very little effort and look fantastic! All you need to do is go to your local party store to find some cute or spooky Halloween window clings. If you’re feeling creative, clings are also great projects to make on your own. Grab some construction paper and markers and cut different shapes, like cats, pumpkins, candy, etc. Then just use some tape to stick them onto your window. You can even write “Happy Halloween” in spooky lettering. For lighted Halloween window decorations, grab some white Christmas lights and string them along the edges of your designs.
Halloween window silhouettes: Although you can buy these in stores, Halloween window silhouettes are also fun to make. Get large pieces of black construction paper or poster board and cut them to fit into your window. Make sure that they are large enough so that light won’t escape through the corners! Next, sketch designs, like eyes, jack-o-lanterns and bats onto the paper. Then, cut these shapes out and tape the paper to your window. Turn the lights on inside the house and you’ll have a great Halloween window decoration.

Balloon decorations: Another fun idea is to make Halloween balloon decorations. Blow up orange, green, white and black balloons. Then, use markers, paint or construction paper cutouts to decorate your balloons and draw faces on them. Craft them into pumpkins, witches, ghosts and cats. Then, stick them onto your windows individually or bundle them together and use a balloon weight to position them so that the faces appear in the window.
Spooky curtains: For creepy curtains, cut old pieces of dark cloth so that they look stringy, tattered and worn. You can also buy fake cobwebs from a party supply store and attach them to windows with tape (they are sometimes so stiff that they will just stay on their own). For an added effect, place plastic spiders on the cobwebs or curtains.
Pumpkins: Carve pumpkins and place them on the inside of your house instead of the outside by resting them on window ledges or tables. This will put a nice spin on the traditional jack-o-lantern. Just make sure to use a glow stick instead of a candle to prevent any unfortunate incidents.
